Celebrating the sacraments is at the core of our parish life. Our big moments in life are marked in a solemn way from womb to tomb.

Baptisms are held on the following days:
Ss. Mary and Laurence Church: Last Sunday of the month after 12 noon mass.
St. Ita’s: First Sunday of the month, 12.45pm.

Eucharist and First Communion
First Communion ceremonies take place in the month of May. A programme of preparation takes place throughout the year.

The Sacrament of Penance is also known as the ‘Sacrament of Reconciliation’ or traditionally called ‘Confession’.
Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) takes place:
SS. Mary and Laurence: Before Saturday evening mass.

Confirmation is celebrated each year in our parish. The dates for confirmation in 2020 will be announced in our newsletter.

Housebound and Sacrament of the Sick
The priests visit the housebound with Holy Communion. If you are unable to attend Mass due to illness or frailty and would like to be visited by a priest, please feel free to contact the Parish Secretary in the Parish Office, Tel: 059 8623 154.

The ongoing life of the church depends on vocations to the priesthood. Our diocese has a director of vocations and we’d be delighted to make an introduction for any interested candidates.
