| In this Sunday’s gospel, Jesus calls his disciples the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Salt that has lost its taste is useless. A light that is hidden fails to illuminate. In other words, discipleship must be visible.
Our faith is not meant to remain private or theoretical. It is meant to shape how we speak, act, decide, and love.
Would your words, habits, and priorities reveal that you belong to Christ?
To become the seasoned salt and radiant light that Jesus calls us to be, our daily lives must be marked by concrete goodness, honest speech, charitable action, fidelity in small duties, and courage in living the truth. When our faith becomes visible in these ways, we give credible witness to Christ and help illuminate the world around us.
May we live so visibly as Christ’s disciples that the world can taste his goodness through us and see his light shining in our lives. |
