When people speak of the Kingdom of God, they often do so in the context of building a more just, kind, and righteous world, but “The kingdom of God” refers to God’s kingship, His sovereign lordship actively at work in our life.
The Kingdom of God is present wherever God’s providential care is recognised and received. When we begin to perceive God’s action in our lives, we become more grateful, more confident, and more secure in the knowledge that our Heavenly Father is guiding us.
My brothers and sisters, Jesus tells us that the kingdom of God is like a mustard seed. Small and easily overlooked, yet capable of tremendous growth. When we recognize these small signs of His providence, faith takes root, gratitude grows, and our lives bear witness to his loving kingship.
